    Вместо «Let every Brahmin» у Конвея — «Пусть каждый»: правило для жреческой касты стало правилом для всех; действия из «selfish views» стали «всегда корыстны», поступок, совершенный с познанием бога, у Конвея «abstract and disinterested», — единственным, который «достоин его», а тот, кто «cannot give his heart to iniquity», — тем, кто «не может уже отдаваться злым помыслам».

The Sacred Anthology
A religious act proceeding from selfish views in this world, as a sacrifice for rain, or in the next, …
… but an act performed with a knowledge of God, and without self-love, is abstract and disinterested.
Equally perceiving the supreme mind in all beings, and all things in the supreme mind, the true worshipper sacrifices his own spirit by fixing it on the Spirit of God, and approaches the nature of the One, who shines by his own effulgence.
Let every Brahmin with fixed attention consider all nature, visible and invisible, as existing in the divine mind ; for when he contemplates the boundless universe existing in the divine mind, he cannot give his heart to iniquity.

    2. Religious acts that spring from aims of self-love, such as prayers for rain or sacrifice for a reward in the world to come, are always self-interested, and only an act performed out of the knowledge of God is worthy of him.

Recognizing the supreme reason in all beings and things, the true believer offers up his mind in sacrifice, directing it toward the spirit of God, and draws near to the nature of the one who shines with his own light.

Let each one attentively regard nature, visible and invisible, as existing in the divine reason, because, contemplating the infinite world in the divine reason, he can no longer give himself up to evil thoughts.

As at the change of the seasons each season of its own accord assumes its distinctive marks, even so corporeal beings (resume in new births) their (appointed) course of action.
For he who is scorned (nevertheless may) sleep with an easy mind, awake with an easy mind, and with an easy mind walk here among men; but the scorner utterly perishes.
Let him not, even though in pain, (speak words) cutting (others) to the quick; let him not injure others in thought or deed; let him not utter speeches which make (others) afraid of him, since that will prevent him from gaining heaven.

    2. Just as the seasons of the year of themselves reach the marks proper to each season, so the deeds of all beings of themselves bring those beings into the conditions proper to them.

The one who is wronged can sleep sweetly, wake joyfully and live joyfully, but the wrongdoer perishes.

Let no one be wrathful, even though he suffer; let him offend no one in deed or in thought; let him not utter a word that may be unpleasant to anyone; for all this hinders the attainment of the good.
