The Jubilee name index gives «Берсье Евгений (1805—1889) — французский проповедник, реформатор», with this entry and one more in the Circle's second volume (vol. 42, p. 432), and names no source. Eugène Bersier, the Paris Reformed preacher, was born in 1831 (Musée protestant); the index's 1805 is an error. Probably from one of the French anthologies the Jubilee list names (Bougard's Les moralistes, 1858; Morale-Éducation, Pensées pour chaque jour, 1880; Mme Quartier-la-Tente's Sagesse humaine), none of them online.
